Lamar Valley, in Yellowstone National Park, is home to some of the most impressive wildlife in the United States. Â Wolves, Bears, Bison, Elk, coyote, and badgers are just a handful of the many wildlife species that inhabit the area.
The Fall is my favorite time to visit Lamar Valley and photograph the wildlife. Â The rut, the Fall color, the weather, they all lead to a lot of wildlife activity in the valley.
This shot was taken one morning in Fall, as the cloud cover was low and was covering the valley. Â Bison were on the move, and were crossing the Lamar Rivier in the middle of the valley. Â It was a very special time as the ambiance of the clouds and the color of the year really made this photo stand out.
