Description
This photograph was taken during a Yellowstone photography tour, focusing on baby animals in the Spring. Usually one night of the tour, Michael would take the group out for an optional night photography session. The Milky Way rising above the silhouette of pine trees made for a great composition, and shows the true magical beauty of nature.
Photographing the Milky Way is a unique photographic process that can be difficult due to not being able to focus at night as you can during the day, and photographing at high ISO generally tends to make pictures very noisy. This photo, due to the high ISO capabilities of the camera, and the processing, can be printed up to 30 x 45 and still be sharp.
