“Lone Gray Yellowstone” – Limited Edition 250 – Wolf
This is a photo taken in the winter of 2021 in Yellowstone during a winter wildlife workshop. We encountered a lone gray wolf from the Wapiti pack who had been separated from her pack. She howled for about an hour moving through the Madison. There was a good snow coming down, and we were fortunate enough to be able to spend about an hour with her before she vanished.
The next day we were able to confirm that she caught up with her pack, and they moved toward Lamar Valley. It was truly a remarkable experience!
