Thousands of bison make their home in Yellowstone National Park. This population is comprised of at least two distinct subpopulations, the northern and central herds. Lamar Valley is home to many of the vast species of wildlife in Yellowstone, and is the home to the northern herd, where they graze on the plains of the valley.
This photo was taken in Lamar Valley during the Fall Color and Wildlife Tour. The bison is an iconic American animal, and I hope that you enjoy this photo as much as I do. This photo looks great on canvas or acrylic.
