“Midnight Run”

"MIDNIGHT RUN"- Limited Edition 250 - Great White Shark, Guadalupe Island, Pacific

This is one of the first photos that I had ever taken of a great white shark.  I was in a surface water cage, and it was just off the coast of Guadalupe Island, in the Pacific Ocean. This small volcanic island, located in the Pacific 240 kilometres (150 miles) off the west coast of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula, outperforms both South Africa and Australia with shark-seeing consistency and conditions.

I spent five days in the cage, living on a ship just off the coast, which is about a 20 hour ride from Ensenada, Mexico.  It was an incredible experience, and this is one of my favorite photos from the trip.
