Recently, I made a scouting trip with Aaron Baggenstos of Aaron’s Tours in search of eagles in Alaska.

We spent three days out on the water, and got some incredible experiences with some beautiful bald eagles. Watch the above video to see highlights from the trip.
The last day, we spent about three hours on a remote beach with about 25 bald eagles. When we approached the beach we noticed there were a lot of eagles in the area, and there were quite a few perched on logs across the beach. We landed on the beach and got all our gear off the boat, which left us there while returning to town for more supplies.
What happened next was one of the most incredible photographic experiences I have had to date. The bald eagles curiosity seemed about the same as ours. We got to observe interaction between the eagles, and actually got some pretty close interactions with them ourselves.
